ARRIVAL & DEPARTURES

Perla Negra operates on a Sunday - Saturday schedule throughout the season. For the 2026 season we are including Tulum (TQO) Airport into our program. Most of the major carriers fly into this airport and it will reduce travel time getting to our operation. When booking your commercial flights to/from Tulum there is a schedule that you must adhere to in order to guarantee timely transfers to your destination. You will want to book a flight that arrives the Saturday before and overnight at the Tulum Airport Hotel. Your return flight home should be booked for Sunday with an overnight at the Hotel on the last Saturday of the trip. MOTIV Fishing is not responsible for booking your flights but we are here to assist you with the best arrival and departure times. 

PICKUP / DROP OFF LOCATION

Our van shuttle will pick up at the lobby of the Tulum Airport Hotel on Sunday morning. The drive to Punta Herrero will be roughly 4.5hrs with a stop in Mahahual for lunch. You will be dropped back off at the Hotel on Saturday before dinner. The roundtrip van shuttle is included in the cost of your trip.

TRAVEL DOCS

• Passport: Minimum 6 months validity with blank pages.
• Insurance: Anglers are responsible for their own travel insurance which is highly recommended.
• Plane Tickets: We will be happy to give you tips on finding affordable airfare.
• Visa: Not required for US citizens. A tourist card will be issued upon arrival at the airport.
